About Whyatt and Root families
Please sign in to see more. This site list the ancestors of Roger Edward Whyatt and Suzanne Elizabeth Whyatt (nee Root).
Most of the Whyatt family comes from Essex, particularly around the village of Great Saling, near Braintree. Other branches of the family (Dyke and Hooker) come from the East End of London, and the Hudsons originally from Sussex. The name 'Whyatt' is frequently spelt 'Wyatt', or even 'Wiatt'. Apart from the more recent members of the family, I have stuck with the Wyatt spelling to make life easier.
The Root family mainly comes from the Chelmsford and Halstead areas of Essex. Other branches (Fisher) mainly come from Great Dunmow, Essex, and the Linguards from Writtle, Essex.
